Owen Jones Cobalt Cloisonné Star Flower Canvas Print
Radiating star-shaped blossoms in fiery red, gold, and jade burst across a deep cobalt ground, each bloom outlined in fine gilt scrollwork and set among pale blue cloud-like motifs and delicate gold vines. This design reflects Owen Jones's fascination with Chinese cloisonné and enamel work, where jewel-toned florals are rendered with the same crisp metallic outlining and flat color blocking found in decorative metalware. The dense, radiating petals and small budding flowers strung along thin gold tendrils create a richly ornamented, almost jewel-like surface, while the pale cloud motifs scattered between blooms add a subtle atmospheric layer typical of Chinese decorative symbolism. Printed on canvas, the vivid cobalt blue against fiery red, gold, and jade holds bold color contrast and fine gilt-line detail, with a matte-like finish that grounds the jewel-toned palette in warm, tactile richness. This piece suits chinoiserie, maximalist, or richly traditional interiors, appealing to collectors of Owen Jones prints, cobalt and gold wall art, cloisonné-inspired decor, or vibrant pattern canvas prints that bring opulent historical color to a room.
