Yellow Thistle / Aster Study — Walter Müller Framed Botanical Plate Print
A detailed Walter Müller plate showing a composite-flower (Asteraceae) specimen with whole-plant views, individual florets, dissected reproductive parts, involucre/bracts, and seed/disc structure rendered on a deep black ground. Müller’s precise engraving and hand‑coloring highlight the layered petal (ligule) structure, pistil/stamen details, and involucral scales, producing a scientifically clear and highly decorative sheet.
Mood & styling: Botanical, vintage, and slightly scientific — suits kitchens, studies, conservatories, or living rooms with cottagecore, farmhouse, or natural-history decor. Works well alone or grouped with other Müller plates.
Framing & display: Portrait orientation; pair with natural wood for warmth or matte black for contrast. Recommend a thin off-white mat to preserve the archival look; fits above consoles, desks, or in a narrow wall niche.
Who it’s for: Botany enthusiasts, gardeners, educators, collectors of historic botanical prints, and fans of Walter Müller’s work.
Unique selling points:
Authenticated Walter Müller illustration
Clear dissection of Asteraceae flower structure (florets, involucre, seed)
High-contrast, hand‑colored vintage engraving aesthetic
Decorative and educational crossover appeal
A clean white border sits around the image for a gallery-style finish—like a soft mat—so the art feels polished without changing the overall frame size.
