Blue Tit Among Autumn Vine Leaves – Ohara Koson Print
A small blue-and-white tit perches delicately on a slender vine branch, surrounded by vivid orange autumn leaves and clusters of dusky blue berries, set against a warm, pale ivory background in this refined study by Ohara Koson. The composition draws its energy from color contrast rather than motion or drama, pairing the bird's crisp navy, white, and pale peach plumage against the fiery orange foliage of the vine, while small clusters of berries echo the blue tones of the bird's wings and tie the palette together. This autumnal *kachō-ga* (bird-and-flower) study reflects Koson's gift for capturing small, everyday moments in nature — a single bird pausing among turning leaves — with the intimacy and precision that made his work central to the *shin-hanga* revival of traditional Japanese printmaking. Available as a framed print with warm autumn tones, fine linework, and a polished gallery-quality finish, this piece suits living rooms, dining areas, or reading nooks embracing seasonal or Japanese-inspired decor. It's a lovely choice for collectors of Koson's woodblock prints, autumn foliage artwork, songbird illustrations, or vintage Japanese nature studies.
